I've seen simliar threads on this but I can't believe nobody has mentioned "Summer Lovers" (1982) which starred Darryl Hannah. It takes place on the shores of Greece.

There are a few Controversy/1999-era songs in the movie. Haven't seen it in a while, but I can attest.

"Summer Lovers" came out right after "Blade Runner" and two years before "Splash." Amazing the director was hip to Prince's emerging work back in the good old MPLSound days of the early 1980s.

In the movie Fever Pitch they play I Wanna Be Your Lover.

Now i could be wrong here, but i'm pretty sure i'm correct. The song Private joy was used in the background in the movie Weird Science. When i looked up the soundtrack it says private joy by Cheyne? But i'm sure it was the Prince version. I'm sure someone will let me know if i'm wrong.

I'm glad somebody knows of "Summer Lovers." Saw it years ago on Showtime/HBO. Yeah, 10 years ago at least.

Today someone was watching Bright Lights, Big City in the other room when I heard Prince singing and it drew me in there. Good Love was playing during a scene where people were dancing. I guess it was a club scene.
