The whole 'The Rainbow Children' album was a pretty creepy concept to me. There's Joy In Expatriation.

Sister is pretty creepy.
"My sister never made love to anyone else but me She's the reason for my, uh, sexuality"

The,
"Somebody, please, somebody help me!" at the end of DMSR scares the sh*t out of me every time I hear it.

As much as I love it, Lady Cab Driver used to creep me out a bit. When I first heard it many years ago I thought Prince was forcing himself on her. I guess that would be more like Lady Taxi Driver. All that angry grunting still sort of weirds me out.

some creepy highlights for me in prince songs:
- the real quiet section at the end of 'gotta broken heart again' followed by a gunshot. - the keyboards right at the end of 'do me baby' where prince plays a few notes and then it goes 'baaaaang' - the whole "crystal ball" song but its creepy in a cool way! "girl, i gotta tell ya. that suit look like a piece of GOOD GOD wrapped up with some HAVE MERCY with a side of MMMMMPHH!!!!' - will smith.

have there been any recent creepy songs?
Being more up-tight these days, playing safe etc. I think this side of him doesn't get expressed. There is lonely is somehow creepy, no? small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

"Others Here With Us" "God" is a creepy song too. This blurps and squeals are just freaky in that song. The steam pressure sounds in "Automatic" after "I'm going to have to torture you now" were menacing to a young white boy in Oklahoma back then. Isn't it "Something In The Water" that has all that screaming and such in it? "Annie Christian" was creepy just in lyrical content, and the sparse and harsh arrangement. agree -god song BTW, COME is not a creepy album, but it is very moody. I love it though. Through all the angst on the album, he somehow resolves it by the end, saying he has to just "letitgo", and then ends it with the sounds o' phuking between him and Vanity. Perhaps dinner WAS Delores. [Edited 5/12/09 8:50am] "what smell?"

I've always thought "Wasted Kisses" was strange...
Still not really 100% sure what that song is REALLY about.. I love Lady Cab Driver.. When he is talking "this is for why I wasn't born like my brother handsome and strong" "Others here with us" is creepy tho- too. When ever I play that song My lab Lolita cocks her head and stares and the stero. lol

"Positivity" This was a song that came along at a time when crack was running rampant in my world. It seemed as though every boy and girl was trying to get rich quick from it, and the ones who couldn't sell it were using it. This song helped keep me strait when spooky was tugging hard at my coat. "In every man's life there will be a hang up." "A whirlwind designed to slow you down." "It cuts like a knife and tries to get in you, this spooky electric sound" I had a few friends and family cut down by spooky and his 57 mag. This song was eerily creepy and positive for me. I didn't want to "fly high, right by spooky and all that he crawled for"
