I always knew Leno and Prince were tight. I was just reading an article on Leno's last show and his guests. I already knew Prince was going to be there but. A statement from Leno shows how much he really likes Prince.
"Actor Mel Gibson, comedian Billy Crystal, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and rocker Prince will be among the guests in Leno's final week. "It's not my job to put it together, but everyone knows who I like," Leno told reporters in a conference call." Just the way they always interacted and the whole practical joke thing from years back, you can see they genuinely like each other. Wonder if they hang out or talk ever? As Prince said in his recent performance regarding Leno, "He's still that dude, he's still that dude!" Link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/n...nm/us_leno

And where did you hear that? Are you talking about the "Feel Better, Feel Good" segue when Leno was closing the show? Prince wasn't talking about Leno, or even pointing to him. Watch it again.

I gotta see Leno do Ah-nold in front of Ah-nold! Or wouldn't it be funny if they had an "Ah-nold off!"

Link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/n...nm/us_leno Prince likes special treatment and Leno's show has always given him that. Prince and Tavis Smiley are 'tight'. I doubt Leno would allow any of Prince's anti-America nonsense on his show, but Smiley did. In fact I doubt Leno is even aware of Prince's views. Lucky for Prince that he didn't say that mess on The Tonight Show, Leno would have cut him up.

Hmmm weird that he said it when Leno introduced him and when Leno was standing next to him, and then pointed at Leno.

He's pointing BEHIND Leno...to BILLY MAYS. It's so obvious. What does "he's still that dude" mean anyway, esp in reference to Leno??? Doesn't make sense. [Edited 5/15/09 8:52am]

[Edited 5/15/09 8:52am] It means he has been in showbiz/talk show game for a long time and he is still highly rated. LMAO @ "to BILLY MAYS"...Im sure thats who he is referencing when Leno introduces him and billy mays is nowhere around.

Oh horse shit. That doesn't even make to sense to pop up and randomly say that in that situation. Billy Mays is nowhere around.
Bullshit. Billy, Carrottop, and Dana Carvey were just starting to come up on stage when that happened. Prince wasn't looking at Leno, he was looking to the side of the stage.

i still crack up at "MEL GIBSON WHAT'S SHAKING BABY?!!!" man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Check the video Ernest P. Worrell, when Jay introduces Prince he is all alone. And he says "he's still that dude". End of argument i'm wasting my time bantering with you, everyone agrees that your wrong.

Everyone doesn't tell me what I saw either. I stand by it. It's obvious you can't have an argument or a healthy debate without name calling so I'll let you get back to your 3rd grade class.

What dig? He asked him if wanted "to go see a movie?". Obvious reference to the Passion- a movie I'm sure Prince is a fan of.
