Prince...Marrying. It's not what U think.
When Prince Covers, "Crimson&Clover," with "Wild Thing," I call that Marrying two songs. The possibilites are endless and I go so far as to hear triple's on occasion. A good example of that is, "Faith," by George Michael, "(?)Second hand Faith," by Billy Joel, and "Step of Faith," by Carman. Although, I don't have a mixer so I just hear things. When folx here mention that one Prince song sounds similar to another, it's fun to think of them on top of eachother or "Married." What two songs of Prince's would U put together is some artistic mix? One of the Marriages I wonder about is, "Strollin'" with "It's about that Walk." Which Two Songs 4 U? I mentally mix "When the Lights Go Down" and "Willing and Able" (video version) when singing through the day, sometimes. I see a real cool medley in there. | |

Speaking of "Strollin", I thought it was great the way he combined it with "You Want Me" on the Alladdin dvd. That was one of my favorite parts of the concert. If there's a studio version of that song, I'd love for him to release it. | |

He put together 3121 with D.M.S.R. along with other classical tunes (The Entertainer, Alexander's Ragtime Band...), and also merged The One with The Question Of U, the two songs making hot love to each other on a silky carpet of Alicia Keys' Fallin'... thanks for sharing this we are all impressed when artists make covers with their own touch but admit it just to do one is cool but to make you see it as the best thats talent i know the song writers wshould be smiling we all know hes got that but i do wonder what touches this soul to do cover songs the history behind it ?
