The reason Prince doesn't "tour" anymore.

Interference with Kingdom Hall meetings.
They have 5 meetings, 3 nights a week. Missing a bunch is frowned upon.

That's why he prefers "stays" at certain places, so he can start attending at the local Hall and schedule shows that don't interfere with the meetings.
Until I find the righteous one...

Highly speculative at best. Prince has been a Witness since 2000 or earlier. He has toured a bunch since then. Nice investigative reporting though.

nah. there are kingdom halls in every town, and i'm sure if he toured the local congregations would be more than happy to have a guest. i don't know how the JW religion works, but i'm guessing prince would be welcome in just about any location.

i'm guessing the "creative" approach to live performances is either due to health issues or maybe because he is obligated to pay out a certain amount of money from "touring" as part of, say, a divorce agreement? so with what he's doing now, he can say he's not technically touring, therefore he has no obligation to share his money.

just speculation, folks. smile

I think touring is probably more expensive, as well. With residencies, he gets paid plenty - but doesn't have the expense of moving a huge show from venue to venue. shrug
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
