Prince Inspired Nails (pix)

A few weeks back when Prince played LA Live my wife decided to put on some Rockstar nails with the Prince symbol for the concert. Rockstar nails are blinged out acrylic nails with 3D art that has a stained glass effect. My chickybaby has been doing nails for close to 20 years and these nails are the latest wild trend.
The shape of these nails are called Stiletto's. Other shapes include the Flare and Lipstick nail. I also included a set of her friends nails with purple bling that were for the concert as well.
The symbols were made freehand with acrylic glitter then capped with clear acrylic. Fact is these pictures do no justice for the nails. One must see them in person to really appreciate them. I hope you like them.

For some odd reason, I was expecting to see nails, as in hammer and nails.

Yeah. Going to the nail salon is so taxing.

So it's a sign there is no recession at all.

Serena

The designs are cool, but the nails are ugly. I hate long fake nails, especially if they've got the curve going on.

But, those would be good for self-defense! stab

Every time my wife and I lay down for bed, I cover my eyes and private parts in fear of being punctured!

The first set of nails belong to my wife. She did them her-self. Also, she is booked with many clients so that says that she does work! Long nails does not mean unemployment!

A set of these types of nails start at $60 and up. The more bling the more money one will pay. My wife also does Tattoo nails (Ed Hardy nails, check link) and those will cost any where from $250-$300. Believe me when I say many have paid for them too! Recession, not in my wife's salon!

Seriously,

IMHO, I dont and am not a fan of pointed nails like that. Me, Id be rounding them off. And as one mentioned I would keep poking my ass every time I took a dump.

I work with my nails I keep them trimmed but not that long. I also round them off. As for the Prince inspired I really am not that enthused about them. May look good on some but not on others.

Just my thoughts.

acrylic nails are fun, color and design wise. I work 5 days a week on a computer so my nails have to be shaped to "type". I love nail art, but that's a bit much for me. I don't think my dog would let me touch him. I would fear poking myself by accident! OUCH!

I hear u on that one. My wife accidentally punctured her eyelid a few moons back. I laughed but she didn't think is was too funny! As a matter of fact she scratched the heck out of my forearm just the other nite. BTW, did u check the links for a more suitable nail for your taste?
