I was afraid of him taking the mic from me, not to mention that I am extremely shy. Later that year he stuck his mic in my face and had me say the "Musicology" part with a big smile on his face. It was like he remembered the fear in my eyes when he asked me earlier. Oh yeah, and the second guy he asked got up and did a great job at the Empire Ballroom.
Just the mic eh??? | |

When You Were Mine
Although I would also love to sing the background vocals for Anotherlover, too. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

That was Moonbeam who sang Peach. He friggin' killed it. In fact, he was so good that Prince made his crew give him some money. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

In 2001 I was brought on stage to sing Paisley Park at an aftershow in Buffalo NY. I was so nervous I messed up the words and Prince had a nice laugh with the audience over that. Sabotage did a nice job on that show and I listen to it often, even though when I hear myself mess up I cringe. Do u promise 2 FUNK, promise u will keep it, promise u will keep the FUNK

It's "If I Was Your Girlfriend", according to Prince's own hand on the CD jacket. Enough w/ the Princebonics already. Gheezus.

I can't sing to save myself - but I can drum any song in Prince's catalogue so that would be cool.
I have had the joy of standing next to him for 20 minutes of his encore at a show in Sydney - and that was amazing. Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

Purple Rain got Prince?

She Gave Her Angels.
Because it's a masterpiece but also because it would be so unexpected. I'm 6' 1" and a bit overweight, Prince is like 5' 2" and slim, and there I would come out on stage and people would be like "what's that pizza-eating dude doing on stage, he probably can't sing very well" and they wouldn't think that we would sing a powerful ballad together.

Nothing compares to U..

then my feelings would be hurt cause he would just say, "allright!" thank you and I'd be like esorted off stage...ouchy... THE B EST BE YOURSELF AS LONG AS YOUR SELF ISNT A DYCK[/r]

If it were 4 U, what song would that be? I'd like to sing: Starfish & Coffee Raspberry Beret I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man Sign O' The Times If I had to pick one, that'd be Starfish & Coffee. If ever let guys get onstage, I know all the lyrics to "Raspberry Beret" and most of the lyrics to "Peach" (and I can play it on the guitar)...same goes for "When You Were Mine". I know all of "Bob George", too...but I don't think he plays that live.

Man, that's a hard question.. Pink Chashmere as of right now. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

I would like to sing New Position.
Why? Because it's short and simple... and I'd ask him if I could play the bongo drums. Then I'd get a congo line of all the fans in the stadium going across the stage and it would be the BADDEST thing the world has eva seen!!! Got to try a NEW Po-si-shunnnnn... YEAH!!! Somethin' that'll make it allll righhhh!!! Uh!!!!! The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!

I'd like to sing: Starfish & Coffee Raspberry Beret I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man Sign O' The Times If I had to pick one, that'd be Starfish & Coffee. My friend Connie (Lil Mayte from a.m.p.) sang "Manic Monday" with him at one of the Celebrations at Paisley Park. I still love listening to that mp3, and she still loves the experience. Some of the soundchecks from the ONA tour were great when fans got up and sang. he'd stop a song and say "Oh lord...she's TOO good." yeah i know connie as well ..and she was so speechless that night man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81
