Trent's music didn't cross the culture devide for me like Prince's music has. I didn't hear Trent in my neck of the hood, my parent's weren't bumpin' Trent. My cousin and family didn't either So Fuck everything Trent said! Trent's music ait shit to me! I give away worthless shit sometimes too! Since both Prince and Trent are in my top 5 artists of all time, I'm not jumping into this discussion. However I quoted this post to point out some irony. The irony is that in the list of artists you mention that you listen to, one of the artists mentioned is Marilyn Manson. You then go on to say that Trent's music 'aint shit to you'.....so let me ask you this: Who do you think is responsible for Marilyn Manson's career? Somebody that gave him his break into the music industry, signed him to his record label, produced his records and generally turned him from a nobody to a somebody? Do you know who I'm talking about? No? Here's a hint. His name starts with TRENT and ends with REZNOR. Aside from that I don't give a fuck about this debate one way or the other. I love Prince and his music. This thread should have locked down a long time ago. I just learned who this Trent dude is... Is this person the lead singer of the group or something? I heard of NIN’s but there music was never played on the radio stations I listen 2. Never EVER heard of this person before. What I have heard I am not impressed. Different strokes 4 different folks and the videos posted of their music freakin sucks big time. |
