I am not talking about a song dissing the US. I am talking about if Prince would diss another artist. If Prince was to really let loose and diss the beloved Trent or who ever people in here think is better than Prince, some people in here, would be dissing Prince left to right. Simple as that. When some people don't like a song in here, they act like they want to put Prince on a skillet. I just find it ironic that Reznor talks about how bad Prince's last few albums have sucked when everything he's released since The Fragile has been average at best, terrible at worst. Year Zero's whining about George W. Bush got old FAST, and Ghosts....well, let's just say that it's a good thing it was free. The Slip shows some promise.

Trent voices pretty much what 99% of the people on here were thinking, and he's the anti-christ... For the record, Year Zero is still in rotation in my car, last time I put on a recent Prince release... I'll get back to you on that! just curious, what has Prince said about Beck?

The poor Weezer guy.... lol
Let me simply state: I take Rivers punky powerpop ANYDAY over the often very mediocre 'drab' by that self-obsessed Reznor. That guy 'acts' much to serious for his own good. An annoying pose IMO. 30 years from now people will still enjoy singing along to some of the better Weezer songs, while they probably puke on the annoying self-obsession of people like Reznor and Kurt Cobain. Are you illiterate? How many frikking times do I need to repeat that I DO NOT WISH THIS WERE THE 1980s. I LOVED what Prince did in 1994/95, for instance. Wanna know who's stuck in the 1980s? Lemme give you a hint: there's this "artist" who plays virtually only music he recorded 20+ years ago in concert. He's also just released yet another album where he pathetically uses Linn drum samples in hopes of pleasing his fans. and you know what is even more sad than that is there is this pathetic "bitter fan" who has spent a decade and a half complaining about that same artist and still buys that artists latest album plus joins his website. Bart,
Its okay with me that you keep whining about how you don't like what Prince is doing at the moment. But please stop with bringing up Trent Reznor for comparison. That guy has been creating the same kind of boring, self-obsessed fake-rock since the mid-nineties. In potential Prince wipes the floor with him on every level (songwriting, composing, arrangements... or should i say: quality?) [Edited 5/7/09 14:25pm]
