Imo, Prince had so much style during the Diamonds & Pearls - Love Symbol years,

I have always loved this look 1991-1993....

It is a good look but I always prefer the look he had in the Parade era, he looked well cool then.

I also agree with gary, Parade is #1 style wise...

I liked it, but by 1993, it was getting a little bit over the top, I think.

It's a good hairstyle, but I really like the hairstyle he has now, like on the Ellen Degeneres show the other day.

Hated it with a passion!! I was a cosmetology student during that time and every time I saw him, I just wanted to wash his damn hair!

I love it to the point that I wore it. Yes, me.....a guy, wore that. It had a couple of slight modifications, like no fingerwaves on the side. But back in my hair styling days, I had the leeway to do that.

And when I'd get home in the evening, I'd tie a silk scarf (from back in my suit and tie days) around my head a la Prince in "Gett Off".

I was a featured stylist in a Paul Mitchell hair show once, and I did a typhoon do on my model, and called it a Typhoon. It was a hit.

Love it...

No matter what style...I Love it.

It looked good until he let it get over-grown and it started flopping down. That's when it started to look stupid. Like around The Sacrifice of Victor.

It's okay. I hated when Prince would perform and sweat cause that gelled part would kink up and just look all kinds of WRONG.

I much prefer him the TAFKAP years when he had it cut short and highlighted. I can;t remember my name when I see him in that look. So pretty with his complexion and eye color!

I liked it when it got totally ridiculous, like in the Sacrifice of Victor -book / Come -album cover art, or in the "Loose!" / "Papa" -video. I do realize he must have had looked laughable when perceived upfront in real life, but then again, this was the early-90s. You still had people doing crazy but rather uncool in retrospect -shit with their hair anyway. His must have been a pain in the ass to get done each day - as far as I know, he didn't really step out in the public without his hair done and make up done during those days.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Prince inspired me to get fake sideburns for myself when I was 15! They were just made of plain hair and gel!
