The Grand Progression

Just flipped through some old bootlegs and came across "The Grand Progression". To me, it has always been one of the greatest unreleased songs. Wasn't it intended for "Graffiti Bridge"? Ist the studio-Version the only version in existence or has he ever played this song live? He should release it!
See the man with the blue guitar, maybe one day he`ll be a star...

Funny. I always considered the song needles and pompous.
It reminds me of songs like 3 Chains O' Gold (sorry Ian), another of those bombastic pooha songs.

What? But it's such a quiet song without many instruments
and a lovely 'higher' theme, compared to "3chainsofgold"
which has about every instrument but the kitchen sink on
it and smells vaguely of Queen-esque multi-portioned self
conscious anthems.
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

It is logical that you are confused. But the kitchensink IS included on 3 Chains via the inclusion of the word KITCH, read KITSCH in kitchensink

And let's be honest. It sunk. Deeply.

You will probabbly have a hard time finding Small Club since its a bootleg and many are only made in limited copies. Your best bet is to see if someone can burn it for you.
