Over the last few weeks I've been bitching quite a bit about Gage's inability to do their job...but I got the box today, and frankly it blows my mind how good this is...especially disc 3 which I'm just getting into now. I've heard a lot of live shows, and if Prince is looking to make people stop buying bootlegs, I think he's on the right track. Cause there are hundreds of great performances out there, but not at this level of quality...now hopefully he'll think about releasing some other tours as well...or better yet, aftershows!

For me, there's no reason to spend money on any bootlegs for this tour, cause they don't touch this quality. Plain and simple.

After everything with the club this year, the good and the bad, the quality of music wins out; I'll definatly be rejoining next year! -- I just hope a few of the problems can get smoothed out in the buisness/shipping department over there...cause Lord knows there's nothing wrong with the music...

funny, i have almost the opposite thing goin' on...yeah the SOUND quality is far superior on the official, but why listen to musiqsoulchild and a peach that never goes into peach when i can listen to beautiful strange and the ladder and calhoun square and many incredible versions of the extended peach jam which go into the song eventually (ok, i'm obsessed with this peach thing...sorry, just one of my favorite live jams and not my favorite excerpt on it ain't over...)

i dunno. "empty room" from the celly blows the socks offa ANYthing on disc 3, i'll say that right now.
