I agree with this. If one takes his blinders off, he can see how rehearsed the interview was. Tavis didn't followup on anything, and Prince's often bazaar answers were just accepted as face value. This was a promotional spot--not an interview. But again, just considering how terrible Prince interviews can be, this was probably his best in my opinion.

Another point to prove when he talks it doesn't make sense is the fact when asked one question about how would he run a radio station(or something to that effect) he said he would have to hire someone because he didn't listen to any music(or current music). Then he contradicted himself later when he said he believed that the Minneapolis sound cd could compete with anything current on the radio. How would he know that unless he has listened to current music? "Love God" | |

you to one/he edit I agree that the interview seemed a bit rehersed and controlled....but we all know that Prince is a control freak,however. I enjoyed the interview I love Prince s speaking voice. I don t realy have a comment on Tavis except He s doing his thing. I dont really gat the gay comments that have been thrown out there ..bu..WHATEVER!!!!

----- Because they have no life they expected the Tavis Smiley show to suddenly turn into "Sixty Minutes" Tavis is nice to everyone who comes on the show. I have never seen him grill anyone and why would he grill Prince. He is an entertainer not the President or a person in a position of world power but that belief that Tavis should have been grilling Prince tells you about some of the people who come to this board.
