Does a protege have to stay stuck to their mentor's side for the rest of their career life?
or is the mentor obliged to keep the protege's career going?
I ask these questions cause it seems like some ppl have a problem with Prince not doing projects with prior proteges anymore.
Prince gave them milk, helped them crawl (and for some walk) then they gotta do their thing on their own...
so why are some ppl talkin down Prince when he lets a protege go?

I question the reasons why Prince decides to become a mentor. He and all of his proteges know that he is very influential, but for some reason he only takes young beautiful women under his wing who have questionable or very limited talent.
Could it be he just lets them go just because he looses interest in them after a while and he feels the need to "mentor" yet another beautiful youg woman.
