Gett Off Horny Pony!! Ok what song do you think would of gone better on the Diamonds and Pearls album?
Im very happy the put on Gett Off, it would of sucked as a B-Side. Whats your vote?

Big fan of Gett Off, it gets my vote.
I'm glad Horny Pony didn't make it onto D+P. One of my least favourite b-sides.

Definitely Gett Off. I like Horny Pony, but it's better as a B-side. An album that had Jughead, Push, and Horny Pony all in quick succession would be scary.

I liked Horny Pony when it came out, thought it was fun.
Gett Off was a very misleading intro to the D&P album, however. Raw sounding first single...schamltzy, mostly overproduced album. Probably my least fave album of the 90's.

Gett Off is the superior track
"Horny Pony" is whack a lousy song that isn't even good enough to be a B-side. it's the new dance,it's the sex dance I'm glad that he kept working on the album and removed that turd from it.

Gett Off 'cause the text is more rich than Horny Pony
Horny Pony as a B-Side 'cause i get wild with this track!

Gett Off is a great replacement for Horny Pony, which is a fun track, but let's face it, it's a piece of shit as a song.
In fact, I can think of a few other tracks that could have been axed and replaced. I Wonder and Five Women and several others would have been really nice on there. Open Book was going unused at the time. There's really no excuse for Jughead and Push.

Gett off for sure, but he should have putt the longer version that was on the Gett Off CD. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

D&P is a shakey album anyway, and "Horny Pony" would have cheapened it BIG TIME. "Gett Off" gave it a lot more credibility as a Prince album. Remove "jughead" and "strollin'", and leave the original version of "Live 4 Love" with the lower vocals, and it would have been great. "Push" is still questionable in my head too.

I think Diamonds and Pearls is a great album, It's on a par with 0(+> and The Gold Experience.
I guess it's the Tony M factor that make people complain about it but it's not like his contributions are that many. I actually like his rap on Willing And Able. Never understood why people don't like Push, it's urgent and funky. I would have replaced Jughead with Horny Pony and kept Schoolyard on there.

I went years without hearing it after I first heard about it. I really thought that I was missing out until I actually heard it. I abdicated the throne in Ithaca, but now I am...

No competition Gett Off is a classic and Horny Pony is a forgotten B-side. Not quite She's Always in My Hair or Erotic City! My Legacy

Gett Off is my shit, just watched my d&p dvd of that music video the other day. "Now move your big ass round this way. So I can work on that zipper, baby
Tonight your a star and Im the big dipper". How can you not have a hit with lyrics like that [Edited 4/21/09 23:06pm]

Another reason I don't like "Horny Pony"....that whole concept was already used in 1987/88 on the 'Black Album' and 'Lovesexy'...
up and down,up and down, like a pony would you jerk your body like a horny pony would It was silly for Prince to recycle that idea for 'Diamonds and Pearls'.Looks like he came to his senses and replaced it with "Gett Off' instead.

Actually, Gett Off doesn't share anything with the Get Off NPG remix, I don't think. It does, however, share quite a bit with Glam Slam '91.

Get off and Gett off are two totally different tracks. Gett off was originally titled Glam slam '90. It was changed when it was released as the one sided promo Gett off (approx: damn near 10 mins). After the release of the single, it was added to the album. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.
