Slightly disappointed.....although I love the man's music and all I have to admit and really did not want to mention this BUT...I am slightly disappointed with what "I" recieved from NPGMC as a member for this year...Sure I paid for my concert ticket and yes I will pay for another, member or no member. I joined the club for 4cd's...I already purchased "The Rainbow Children" I already got "ONA" as did all members. The book? I purchased the ONA book from the NPGMC website so the book I recieved with ONA live covers almost the same thing.  Oh well! THINKING | |

Hmmm...it depends what you expected to get for your $100 and if it was what the offered.
You didn't pay $100 to get 4 CDs, you paid it to be a member of the NPGMC, and as a member, part of what you get is 4 CDs. But we've been through that road many times before. This is a never ending argument

Heavenly, I (excuse me) BUT, I joined for the 4 CD's only...I really could not have cared less about the soundchecks or afterparty's as a matter of fact I did not even go to the afterparty's or the 2002 celebration. You are not a member so you cannot relate to what another one would feel, good or bad. Their were some who joined ONLY for the soundchecks , everybody has their own reasons for joining...ME myself if I were not a member and membership did not exist I would have paid $500 bucks for front row seats..thats just me...I WANTED THE 4 CD's (not the one I already bought and not the one I have already recieved!)You didn't pay $100 to get 4 CDs, you paid it to be a member of the NPGMC, and as a member, part of what you get is 4 CDs. Can all these STUPID threads about how dissapointed everybody is with the NPGMC stop!!! I´m really sick of it!!Almost every thread the last months is about those whining wankers!!!

Nobody forced us to join the club and you get a lot of benefits out of it: sound checks, cd´s, shows, afterparties. I know the club could be better but if you looked at how many complain threads there are you wouldn´t post this one. Oh yeah...and don´t take it personal. --------------------------------------------------

I´m sorry if it´s a misunderstanding but it wasn´t a personal attack to her. I´m pretty sick of all those complainers on the org, so it was towards all the complaining orgers. FUNNY! The ones who TALK SHIT are the ones who are NOT members! So this leaves me to believe you would be satisfied with SOMETHING close to NOTHING! Nobody claims PRINCE owes us shit...he owes us what he promised. We are at least honest enough to express our true feelings instead of bootlegging and being satisfied with that! | |

I'd have to say, I am satisfied. Not because Prince can do no wrong...but because I am. He sprinkled a few songs from some of the concerts, so at least a spread of fans would have a souvenier of when they were there...he added the comments of members inside the booklet, and even a snapshot of fans in line outside. I'd say that's pretty special stuff.
This isn't directed at Oceana, but how I feel in general. I have to agree with Finess. Folks will bitch no matter what. They will find something wrong with whatever...I guess that is just the nature of things. Best way to show your dissatifaction is to not rejoin. | |

ONA, Lovely CD...I LOVE it but ONE was good enough for ME...I DID NOT NEED another! I myself KEPT my first one. I did not give it away and as many time as I was asked to copy it I NEVER did.. I was (am) a true member! Only expressing my member views and opinions in hope that it will help NPGmc. As some other orgers/members decided was the best way to handle our dis-satifaction. | |

Sure "people" will always complain, that's because there will always be individuals who won't be satisfied. However, it's not that difficult to see what's a reasonable complaint and what's not.
The "people will always complain" line is a weak defense. People will always complain about anything, it's not something only Prince fans do. Should that mean all complaints should automatically be dismissed? | |
