You are right about JW's reading from a different translation and believe me it ain't cho grandma's bible. JW's believe that Jesus is the son of God but not God on earth (Emmanuel). They do not believe in the Trinity. Some one correct me but isn't that what 1+1+1=3 is about? The living translation is my favorite translation as well. It is taken from the old hebrew and greek and translated into today's language. IT WAS NOT TRANSLATED FROM THE KING JAMES VERSION. Languages change and so it wouldn't make since to translate and then translate again. I am a Christian, a Witness for Jehovah but not a JW. So many people use different version of the Bible, so many people don't know ancient Greek...the new world translation one...well...it seems that the translators of that one didn't know a single word of Greek...

And No, no, no , all the other Bibles are not copied from the King James. The KJ was a translation done in 1611 I believe. That is why you probably prefer the Living Bible which I also like.
