Aside from the 8 tracks that were going to be on the Camille album only U Got The Look and Scarlet Pussy are true Camille tracks. The others may have sped up/treated vocals, but Camille isn't credited on them. Out of interest: what's this about a version of Witness circa 88/89 with sped up vocals? I've never heard of it. You have this?

Hey Twilite,
Yeah, there is a version of Witness that definitely sounds like it has a sped-up, Camille vocal. I'm only guessing it's from around the 88/89 era, but it has the earmarks of that sound. If I had to peg it, I would say it's from the Rave/Batman era. It's quite a bit different from the Dream Factory version, as it's more dancey, has a few additional lyrics and what sounds like synthesized steal drums. Also, on the topic of the other Camille tracks, there was never an official statement that Feel U Up, Rockhard or Good Love were Camille tracks even though they're understood to be. On top of that, isn't the Black Album technically a Camille record?

I was gonna say, stuff like "Partyman" and "Love or $" wasn't credited to Camille, no more than "Ol Skool Company" or whatever is/was/will be. "Sex" sure wasn't. In fact, THAT character in "Sex" is named Endorphin.

On top of that, isn't the Black Album technically a Camille record? The second version of Witness is from 1987. It does have a more synthesized sound that would suit the Black album and points towards the Rave/Batman era like you say. I always found the evolution of that track interesting for that reason. Feel U Up, Good Love and Rockhard were all on the Camille LP, ergo, they are credited Camille tracks. 'Technically', both the Black Album AND Lovesexy are Camille tracks, if you follow the Lovesexy tourbook liner notes. But for me, unless a track is credited thus on the sleeve, it's not a 'Camille' track. Personally, I wouldn't include anything later than Sex and Partyman just because the sound is so different. So while 'Love or $', 'Sex', 'DF' etc aren't credited to Camille, they don't jarr quite so much as something like Ol' Skool Company or Eye Like Funky Music.

Technically, that's not right. The tour book talked about the evil that Camille experienced while creating the Black Album. The songs were not all credited to Camille on vocal, neither on B.A. or Lovesexy.
