Professional Tavis Smiley Show Review. ...Beyond everyone looking and sounding beautiful, the first obvious mistake was that the "LOTUSFLOW3r," cd was not opened fully to expose Bria's face for "Elixer,"
Secondly, Tavis asked Prince to discuss, "Colonized Mind," and Prince danced around that with an "Amplifiers in Van," story. Thirdly, the fact that Prince and Bria didn't cuddle up on the couch for the duration of the interview was on the corny side, seeing as that they are promoting a mutual endeavor. It was apparant that Prince didn't want the Internet swarming with Susan Anton and Dudley Moore jokes. Bria being Susan. The other opinion I would like to address is Prince referring to Bria's music as similar to Sade's.
In my personal listening, I believe that Bria sounds very similar to Lisa Keith, although Bria's music is "Making Love by the Pool," enchanted, as to wear Lisa's is the "Fluffy Pillow Style." "The Lion Sleeps Tonight... | |

[Edited 4/29/09 8:00am] All right 1stly eye disagree with ur point on "Colonized Mind", Prince used that story 2 state that he was angry when he wrote that song which was VERY clear. Secondly, the part about cuddling up in what's supposed 2 b a serious interviews is less than peroffessional. Which is what Prince made it cm like when he stated that they were both "taken care of" with the contract with Target. And thirdly, eye didn't like what Ms Valente said...2 me she came across as being self interested, arrogant and ungr8ful. Eye was angered and hurt when she didn't even mention Prince as being part of the production of the album. Eye'm not even sure she can distinguish between musical genres...Nasty Girl and 2Nite r in no way comparable nor worth mentioning, it should have bn compared 2 Fantasia Erotica. And then she made it cm as if her father was an equal 2 Prince! [Edited 4/29/09 8:23am] | |

Sorry, but when and where did you guys see this second part of the interview ? Last time I checked, PBS only had the 23 minute interview and a 1 minute audio snippet on its website.
