The best pic on ONA-Live set is that geetar The best pic on ONA live is the last pic on the last back cover page of the booklet of that telecaster (it is a Fender right?). Thats my baby right there and I know it's Princes'. The brown one with the beige leopard print. Eff a cloud guitar. This is the geetar that he plays when he means business. This is the Controversy chicken scratch geetar! This should have been on the main cover. He posed with this one in that Contorversy promo page. How can he have had this guitar for so long..it's the same original one right? Scratches n shit making it warm and used and comfortable. This is the guitar that he gave head too--that he humped..that he made cum. This is his baby..not Mani. I want a poster of this. "Climb in my fur." | |

That is a Telecaster, that's right. But in this case not a Fender but a copy by Hohner. | |

I remember reading that is his favourite guitar somewhere.Apparently it's a regular cheap-ass guitar, but he said it had always had the dirtiest raw sound and no matter how much he spent on his custom guitars none can replicate it's sound. | |

I absolutely 100% agree with you! This guitar is my favorite too! It's the one that I associate with Prince... from way back in the thong and furry leggin' wearin' days! He tears shit up when he plays that guitar! I will never forget when I saw him in DC back in March of this year... he was getting ready to rip into a solo during the Santana Medley... he grabbed that can of Finger Ease and sprayed the neck of that guitar so damn vigorously... I said to myself, "Uh-Oh, this fool is about to KLOWN"! It was one of the most animated and amazing solos I'd ever seen him perform!! God, I love that guitar! | |

The Telecaster with the leopard skin pick guard is what you're talking about. And as another post pointed out Prince's was a Hohner. Telecasters are usually the choice of a lot of country music guitarists, while the Stratocaster is, if not the most popular guitar in the world, one of them.
