PRINCE'S LEGACY??? With Prince now being almost 51, do you think he will ever sire an heir? I have held out hope, mostly for selfish reasons, that he would produce some offspring and just maybe one of them would carry forth a touch of his musical genius. It has been more than 10 years now since his child with Mayte died shortly after childbirth. I wonder if Prince is simply unable to produce a healthy baby or if he is just too freaked out by what happened, or maybe he just wants to spend the rest of his life being a playa? C'mon, Prince get busy impregnating to help save us from the musical doldrums when you are no longer able to perform or pass away. Plus having some youngins might recharge his batteries and give him new musical ideas and lyrical muses.
What do you think???? Peace If you've got funk, you've got style.

Prince has given the world his "Father Figure," perspective of all a spiritual life has to offer through music.

So basically you're looking for another Lisa Marie Presley? Julian & Sean Lennon? Wendy & Carnie Wilson? China Philips? Nona Gaye?
You see where I'm going with this -- children of world-famous musicians don't always live up to what their parents did. The exception would probably be Natalie Cole, but her career got a nice boost with a "duet" with Dad. What I would like to see more is an heir to help manage the estate (vault) and "image" of Prince when he's gone.

We don't know that there isn't an heir-do we?

just cuz he's a studly creature, no need to talk like he should farm himself out like a prize bull or sommink to sire offspring..
i think it's a shame he missed out on being a dad, & at 50 should be concerned about being a grandpa..grandpa prince sounds so cute

What do you think???? Peace I haven't made any comments on the org in a while, but now today is the day on this particular tread. A few years back I was lambasted about a comment or a tread I made similar to this one and what I would like to know is why is it so important to some of you orgers that Prince should have a child or children?? Maybe he has made the final decision not to be a parent and if so that's fine. This seems to be a much bigger problem for you then it is to him. It's almost like you're trying to say he's committing a crime or like he's doing something wrong if he doesn't. And there have been incidents where some orgers are determined to try MAKE Prince have a child out there when there is none. I remember the photo of him walking past this white woman holding her biracial daughter and you were trying to say that was his secret child he was coming to see and he didn't even acknowledge the child. He was just walking past them. Maybe he doesn't have the patience and is just content with his life the way it is. As you see he has had two marriages that didn't last. Maybe family life is not his thing after all and if doesn't have a problem with that then why do you? [Edited 3/26/09 19:13pm]
