Song of Your Dreams... I mean literally.
Does anyone elses sonic dreamscape contain the sounds & songs that you keep expecting Prince to release, on his 'NEXT' album? I do this on occasion. Sometimes the sounds are so rich, deep, mellow, and mesmerizing, that I promise myself to record at least 1 sonic dream. Except, I don't have the Prince-like ability to transform the sounds of my soul onto wax. I know, it's crazy-talk...comment at your leisure...

Is "Sonic Dreamscape," just a personal term that U use to fantasize about music?
If so...I can say that Prince has given so much to the "Dreamy State of Mind," that I will continue to trust that his music will forever move me up and down the aisles of emotion. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Hey Tame
'Sonic Dreamscape', as defined as the sounds of and in, one's dreams. I do think that a significant amount of Prince's songs were born in his dreams. But I think this is also true of many artists. BTW, can't stop listenin' 2 Jill Scott's, 'Comes to the Light'. This song sounds dream-born as well....

I dreamed a song one afternoon while taking a nap. I had the whole song in my head. I went to my little Kawai keyboard, plugged it into the stereo and wrote "Listen 2 The Music". That was about 1995 or 1996. I always felt it had a BIT of Prince influence on it, but it wasn't really a "OH, that sounds like Prince" type of song. However, I did feel pretty good about it, knowing that God had put a song into my head like that. I wondered if Prince has had that happen before. (Probably has, but who knows.)

I know that the lyrics for Dorothy Parker were inspired by a dream, but who knows about the music. Chili Sauce.
