Prince sang Pop Life at the Warfield? (Waaay back in the day) That night in 1986 must have been an amazing experience. First Sheila's concert, which had a drum solo that was even better than the one she did in SOTT. Then an off-the-hook rendition of The Glamorous Life. Then the amped-up Revolution came out with Prince for A Love Bizarre. All of which is on Sheila's Live Romance 1600 video.
I knew Prince and the Revolution also did Kiss that night, but I don't think I knew about Pop Life. Or maybe I knew it and forgot about it since I'd never heard it. Till now. I can't stop listening to this mofo. Eric Leeds on flute kills it. The la-la-la part from Wendy and Lisa is wonderful. The song is tight and I've been playing it over and over. I'd love to see that whole concert. Big parts of Sheila's show were cut out too, I think. Seems like it was a definitive night in purple history.

I don't know if it has anything to do with your name, 2020...however...The song 20/20 is one of my favorites from George Benson...I adore this song. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Nice. I'm jealous! Hell I'm jelous of myself and I was there! I remember the concert being very last minute and as soon as the radio station announced it I freaked out and barely got tickets to the show. The entire evening is really such a blur cause I knew we were seeing something very special! When P came out he just wrecked the stage and the place was chaos! ps Actually I've been using 2020 for a long time and totally unrelated to the song by P. However, I was happy to hear him name a song 2020! Also I don't think I've heard the song by George Benson but will defintely check it out! The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
