how many urban legends are there?

1. prince had a rib removed
2. there's an xxx version of purple rain
3. prince was broke in the 90's
4. prince hits women

any others?

A similar thread got locked earlier, so no idea how long this will last. I only heard 1 and 3 before.

5. Prince is gay.
6. Hip replacement.

I think it was just X, not total porn as in XXX. They cut a sex scene (in the barn).

I heard he was broke in the late 80's when Sinead came along to record "Nothing Compares 2 U". SHE swears he "needed that hit and the money". Of course she's not the most reliable source of anything.

Other rumors: The whole "I saw God" thing one night after tripping acid w/ Ingrid CHavez.

HOWEVER....I have it from a source quite close to Prince at the time (from their mouth to my ear), that Prince in fact became paranoid, and that he thought the devil, or a demon, was after him and was constantly trying to "get him". The whole Ingrid part and her horrible influence on him was true, but it wasn't that he was out in his yard, looked up and saw "GOD" in the sky. He thought the devil was chasing him.

I never believed the gay rumor. I mean...he has a LOT of P Control around him, how can you be gay and keep the company of SO many women??? And why has NO male lover EVER stepped up and told their story? Cuz it's a rumor.

There's the whole hip replacement thing.

Can't think of anything else.

Have heard not only the extacy story but from "inside sources" (most likely just people making up shit) that Prince is actually a drug user & that he's gay.

I don't believe either of them, but if I found out Prince was gay it would be one of those moment s like George Michael where you say "well, I should have seen that coming!"
