I've noticed that many of you have a deep rooted, long lasting, spiritual connection to Prince.

In his darkest moments you are there for him. In your darkest moments, he embraces you with his songs and uplifts your spirit. Indeed, it appears, that many of you are meant to be in his small circle of spiritual brothers and sisters.

I can imagine when Prince is having a bad day, you may also through some psychic connect be having one as well.

Some people can cough this up to serendipity, but let's be honest--sometimes, like Prince's current hairdos, there is a human connection that just can't be explained through science.

This must mean, by default, that over the years, he has taught you things about yourself, that not even your parents, God, or the Pope may have. Certainly, some of you may look to him as Oprah does to Doctor Phil.

Has Prince taught you anything about yourself? The world around you? Love? Dehydrogenated monoxide? Anything?

Through Prince I got to know Prince.org and Prince.org taught me that written conversation by some can be as annoying as spoken conversation by some

So in a way Prince taught me also something about someone who's last name ends with large bottom biggrin

I got some love for you though, keep them coming them threads.

when i was little prince's band contained people of different nationalities and gender. prince had fans of all colors. consequently he contributed to a generation of people who were less prepared to justify arbitrary racism and sexism when they became old enough to comprehend them.

A lot lol

falloff

I could go on and on about this in a really lengthy essay that half the people would love and the other half would crucify me over... me being Dreamy and all

The first thing he taught me was the fact that music is more than just music & lyrics. When a man truly is one with his music and he breaths it like air, it puts so much into perspective. On "Purple Rain," the last two performance got to me when I first saw them. I learned what its like to live for the music, having that connection with it... and also one definition of genius.
If not for the fact that its highly unlikely falloff you'd think he was a descendant of Mozart because they share a few things in common. I drew that comparison when I saw in the movie how the music was his whole life.

To be a genius is to live for the thing you love most. There are things they can understand that few others can't or just are unwilling to.

I learned about the difference between music from a pre-packaged artist and a singer/songwriter... and I have grown up on pre-packaged artists lol I know.
It might be the pedestal thing, but I see his music differently than any other singer/musician in my collection. None of them are at his level, though and those that are I haven't listened to very much... moving along
I used to use my favorite songs to make sense of my life, certain moments that were either difficult or fulfilling.
I see Prince's music as a window into his life. Why I'm interested in that, I don't even know anymore. lol I just am... as in the "I think, therefore I am" creed. It's just the way Dreamy functions, can't turn it off

He's taught me about living for your passion and what it means, the dedication you have to put into it. Right now, I'm not in any way financially set to go on that path myself with my fiction.
There's a lot of other things that I can't really recall at the moment, but I'll be sure to post later. So I'll just leave it at this for now

through his music, i observed many layers..as a kid, i'd shut my bedroom door, and drown out the world in my own creativity an had his all around the worrld in a day album, or lovesexy..or sign o times,,any of them, on repeat,,everytime i listened to it even over 100000 times in my life, i allways heard something new,, allways made me feel something new..take me back to the days where i felt like it was me against the world..and inspired me to allways be me..an original, creative, me..if you have ever asked anyone in my whole life what they ever remmembered bout me,,they'd say Prince,,,she looved her prince..the symbol on my chest reminds me of my own personal Emancipation,, and my own spiritual path..i got it in a place that wen i look at myself i can see it every day, and be proud of who i am,,what i stand 4, and of course the power of music (phenominal music) that helped me get thru the darkest years, and the best years of my life,,,thank you
Marry me 2day and 2night we'll make love until the world stops turning

could have written this myself only you helped me save the time.

Great to see that, not only you but so many Prince fans have felt and still feel the same about Prince and his music. He surely has touched us in a very profound way. Like I once wrote, he's in me, in my blood, in every pore and he will never leave, even if I wanted to. I thank him for that.
