I share your sentiments. The begining is awesome then it goes all horrible. I cant stand Beverly park fans (yes, im talking about YOU disco jelly fish!)

77 Beverly Park is my one major beef with Lotusflower. it just doesn't belong on this cd and throws everything off.

The electric guitar intro morphs in2 the acoustic musical beauty that follows it. It is seamless. As a diverse musician and guitarist myself, I LOVE 2 hear this side of Prince, and even being aware of what he's capable of, I was still blown away by his melody and chordal melodies.

I love the intro, and then just love where he takes you - that is what Prince is about, taking you somewhere yuo just didn;t think he would - yeah it is weird, off the wall, in total contrast to the intro, but it is genius - it works perfectly on the Lotus set.

Just while I am posting, killer track for me is Old Skool - pure p-funk, that is what I am talking about!

It is a gorgeous piece of acoustic guitar. When has Prince not thrown an "oddball" or two into an album that seems a bit out of place?

I probably would have preferred some amazing kick ass thing based on the intro, but that doesn't make the actual song bad, now, does it?

Considering this is the album's Wedding Feast it's really not that bad!
