FURY, baby!!! it was just fantastic. Dreamer is great too but Fury live on SNL is perfection. I prefer the guitar work on Fury....plus, Fury live SNL is better than the studio version, Dreamer live on Leno is NOT better than its studio version...
Fury (studio) should have received the same stripped down treatment as Dreamer....without those stupid synth and with a better guitar work in the studio..

Hmmm...looks like I'm gonna have to track down the SNL performance.

A big difference for me is that "Dreamer" is probably my favorite track on LotusFlow3r and I usually skip "Fury" on 3121. I'm not fond of the album version at all.

The way y'all are describing the SNL performance, it sounds as though the album version would have significantly benefited from a similar treatment...

My vote goes to "Fury"...I remember that when the performance first started, I was disappointed Prince didn't choose to play "Black Sweat." But my disappointment faded after about 3 seconds, and I was seriously feeling this new (at the time) song.

By the time it was over, I was feeling a combination of emotions like:
eek cool biggrin omfg excited all at once. You couldn't have slapped the huge grin I had off my face, and the hairs on my neck were all prickly. I was like, "Phew! He just blew my fat pasty ass A-WAY!" lol

I feel the same way about the two songs. You really need to see the live version of Fury on SNL though, it is far superior to the album version.

Which do you like better...Dreamer (Leno) or Fury (SNL)

This is a hard one for me because I really went nuts over Fury the first time I heard it. But I think Dreamer is a better song, is new and he killed it on Leno.

Talk 2 Me people....

Dreamer! Fo Shizzle! smile
-you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude!
