Don´t Talk 2 Strangers I really like this song and the delicate way in which he sings it.
I love the line when he says: Nobody´ll ever love you as much as I do, that doesn´t mean other people won´t love you too. Ok, just wanted to share

I agree. It takes on a different meaning when Chaka sings it. For some reason, I think Prince's sounds like he's singing to his wife/significant other than a child. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Well, unless I'm mistaken, this song was meant to be sung by the woman who voices Marge Simpson in the Nick Nolte film "I'll Do Anything."
Therefore, the intention was (obviously) for a mother to sing it to one of her children, or her child....depends on the case. So yeah, I agree with the whole notion that it sounds more like Chaka's singing it to her son or daughter....matter of fact, she even said in an interview that the song reminded her of the days when she would pack her bags for a Rufus show and her kids would jump into the suitcase so that they could go with her. Obviously, it's a bit of a tear jerker for her. That said, I don't like her version at all. I prefer Prince's version on the "Girl 6" soundtrack a hell of a lot more. Each to their own, though.
