Which album(s) you really like to see remastered? My two picks:
Sign of the Times: It's a shame that his 'Magnum Opus' has such a shitty sound quality. It is recorded on a too low volume level, and the mix just sounds very thin. Even some of those early Beatles albums in mono sound better. Allthough i love Sign, and consider it his best album (maybe a tie with Parade), the fact the album is so poorly mastered, often withholds me from putting it on nowadays. Parade: I owned the vinyl version of Parade first and purchased the CD-version about 2 or 3 years later. While the vinyl version doesnt sound perfect, you could at least hear those intricate layers of orchestra on Christopher Traceys Parade, the dynamic of the drums on Life Can be so nice, and the queaking of a chair and the reverb of piano strings on Sometimes it snows april. Little details that did bring the music to life. On the CD-version those details are barely audible, the overal sound is much more flat. In comparison to these two albums, the CD-versions of Purple Rain, ATWIAD and Lovesexy sound better, allthough they could also benefit from better mastering.

Basically everything from 1978-1989 could use remastering. "New Power slide...."

Dirty Mind was meant to sound that way. They should have left the Black Album dirty and unmastered. 1999 has scratchy parts, especially Little Red Corvette, so definetely 1999. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I can't argue with this, but I badly wanna see SOTT get remastered above all others. The fact that his best album sounds so bad is very upsetting. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Anything through 1996. That was about the time digital took over for tape in Prince's recordings (The Gold Experience is very CRISP). It's such a golden opportunity to add remixes and B-sides to an album, include more artwork, etc. The 4 Michael Jackson remasters w/ extra tracks etc are excellent. The bonus tracks are worth the price alone. I still listen to "Fly Away" and "Streetwalker" from the BAD album.

One I would love to see remastered is Around The World In A Day and Parade. I listen to these today and they sound awfull!! Especially "Tamborine". These have been out for some time now and just surprised they would remater the movies of Purple Rain, Graffiti Bridge, and Under The Cherry Moon but not the soundtracks??
