I've bn a hardcore fan 4 the past 20 years and I always find it funny that my friends and family always try 2 tell me news about Prince thinking that I don't already know it (And know it in greater detail).
"Do u know Prince is going 2 b on Jay Leno this week?" "Oh, do u mean on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday? Promoting his new triple cd release xclusively at Target with a different band (which i could name all the members of each) each night?"
Tell some of ur stories when friends and family tried 2 "get the scoop" on u, and if they ever did.

It's not funny at all!!
You should apprisiate anything / everything they tell you!
With out Prince.org or the internet you might be left in the dark

But with that said
all my friends and family know i love prince..
Now they are like .. Example :

"You probably already know prince is gonna be on tv"
(im like... yeah i know)

Sure I do but I humor them anyway!

BFF: You know Prince is gonna be on tv, right?

Me: No! Really? When? On what?

BFF: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On the Jay Leno Show. I knew something about Prince that YOU didn't know? Heyyyyy!

Me: Well you know I don't watch tv so...

BFF: Yeah, I know! You're always on that damn internet but see...that internet can't tell you everything, you still need your real friends!

Me: I know, Girl! Come over on those nights and we'll watch Prince together.

BFF: Girl, please! Don't nobody want to see Prince but crazy ass geeks like you! Call me tomorrow, Macy's is having a hell of sale. We'll shop and have lunch.

Me: Alright, Girl! See you tomorrow.

I still get caught out.
Like right now I was texted that there's a Prince special on the radio.
And I hadn't seen the American Idol performance so I caught it on the repeat show.

Yes it is amusing, however when my sister texted me to remind me about Prince Performing on Jay Leno, it was a good thing cause I was @ a friends house and I needed a reminder

Yeah, that is funny. Just before Lotusflow3r was released, one of my coworkers excitedly showed me the article in News Week that described the albums and when they'd be released. I knew all about it, but I humored him since he was so enthused to drop the "news" on me.

People also seem obliged to call me everytime Purple Rain is on tv, which is not necessary at all!
