what would you say is the best prince cover song ever?

id easily say funker vogt's industrial version of gett off...truly intense.

but the i came across the eels cover of if i was your girlfriend...really adds a good spin on it but doesnt detract from the softness of the original

I don't know if this is the best, but my favorite is Cyndi's "When You Were Mine." Prince's version is kind of peppy and more like an f.u. and Cyndi's is sad and sort of desperate. I typically dislike cover versions that offer a totally different take on the mood or spirit of the song, but in this instance I love the original and the cover.
