I wouldnt be surprised if Prince has written a couple of country songs just for the hell of it. I remember his line from The Muppet Show that was country sounding.

According to a little bird who knows, there was a "Country" album completed & submitted to WB in early 1996, as part of the ploy to force his release from their contracts.
