Not at all ... it means there are radio friendly songs the average would possibly listener enjoy.

Even WBAI played some of the songs outside of the usual Prince special.As far as commercial radio stations. I could imagine Dance 4 me playing on WBLS etc. However will the listener be responsive ? Or is it radio politics? The owner of the station being the one in charge as opposed to the Program Director.Who knows

LADY GAGAS POKER FACE makes me cringe yet sounds good in the supermarket only or either part of a TV Party mix song.If she is good as a artist the single doesn't entice me to dig further. However,The music investigator in me will see if there something else I might like. If not... it's a wrap ! and my opinion will be formed.

Back to Prince. It's a matter of putting the right song on the radio because the average listener will either like it or not and go purchase the CD. Or in other cases I find example WBLS won't rotate the song enough. Then depending on the song like Future Baby Mama is for a late night format so it would be great to hear Prince in the afternoon /early evening friday night besides just his earlier works on pop radio. IMO I hardly think radio is important to him anyway

it is not bad at all. as utopia said, prince's new music has hit potential. great hooks, great production, and a unique sound. what prince is saying is that you could play it front to back and people would dig it, it has appeal to the masses. mplsound isn't metal machine music.

the PROBLEM stems from the difficulty getting airplay without a major deal. payola etc definitely stills goes on these days, maybe in different forms, but still goes on.

Mplsound would go down absolutely HUGE, let me tell you.

I don't listen to the radio, but if I did, I would think MPLSound would be the best cd to play.
