I was reading my Prince: Life and Times and my mom looked over and commented that, "there is no way that that man is the son of two black parents" based on his nose. I went earlier in the book to show her that yes, his parents were black, but upon seeing an earlier picture of Prince, she exclaimed, "his nose changed!" and accused Prince of getting plastic surgery at some point in his life. I had her look at pictures of Prince in chronological order to have her tell me where she thought the change occurred, and she stopped me at the cover of Controversy.

What do you guys think? Did Prince get a nose job?

No, i highly doubt prince did plastic surgery now looking at the pictures no, the nose looks the same its just the angle of the controversy picture that makes it seem a little thinner, but the shape is absolutely the same. Also there prince seemed to be a touch slimmer in the face making it all seem slimmer, but once again the shape is exactly the same.

On a related topic, for those who say his album covers have gotten worse, take a look at that top one. That has to be one of the worst album covers in history.

The 'Prince' album is a slightly upwards shot. Conversley, the 'Controversey' pic is a downward shot. Also, the light seems higher on the controversy pic.

I did read once that Prince broke his nose when he totaled his dads thunderbird near Paisley park in the 80's. Can anybody expound on this story please?

My mom says NO. She saw him up close at the Conga Room and thinks he wears the MAC mens line of makeup and has the most fierce eyes (and eyelashes). She says he has very good genes and takes fab care of himself. But she does wanna feed him...she thinks he needs his booty back!!!

He looked like he had a baby face in 'Prince' than the one in 'Controversy'

Probably the fat from is nose dissapeared when he reached 'Controversy' age.

I mean you gotta admit the 'Prince' era photos look like had a baby face.

No one in this forum will admit it. Prince had his nose done. Despite his lies to the contrary. He didn't "Michael Jackson" himself and that's good but he had work on that nose. His high school pics and middle school pics show Prince with a CLEARLY larger nose. And no, noses do not shrink with age.

Now I will add that the whole idea that every person with two black parents has a broad nose is just plain dumb but that's another topic for another forum.

I have a colleague, who thinks along the lines of your mother. Every time she sees a black person with lighter skin or thinner features she refers to them as bi-racial or bi-racial looking. It kills me. Some people really need to get out more and get exposed to the entire spectrum of black features. All whites do not have the same nose so why would all blacks?

Also, noses do get more refined as you age. I know that from personal and family experience. Your weight and hair style affect the way your nose looks or is photographed along with makeup and lighting as well. Finally, check Prince's profile in the 1970s and in the 1990s. There is no major difference other than age.

In the first pic, he was young, looks like no foundation on his skin in the pic;second pic-eventually he had on makeup, let's not forget the ligting (camera/camera lights), and some photoshopping... that would make anyone look different. Nose job? I seriously doubt it. Lawd, some of these threads popping up about Prince's ethnicity are ridiculous.

prince died after that first album, its his clone.

All y'all have a lot to learn about what can be done with make-up, the right kind of lighting and retouching.
