At what point did youu become a die hard fan?

I was always a fan of Prince's music as far back as I can remember. I had 1999, Purple Rain, Parade, and Batman on vinyl. I even remember roller skating to Soft and Wet during the late 70s. But it was in 1990 when I had learned Never Take The Place Of Your Man on drums for a band that I became a die hard fan. Then came "Release It" and Diamonds and Pearls live performance for Jerry's Kids and the Gett Off CD single. I was transformed from fan to fanatic.

I would love to be as such a trust-worthy fan...but his recent recording such as the Rainbow Children and a few albums back are such boredom, facetious. For such an experienced, talented man... it's too hard to know that his recent albums are trite and his further collection may be too.

I started collecting all Prince stuff around the time of Purple Rain, just like evryone else I think. But I truly became a die hard fan when I heard ATWIAD album. That did it for me.

You have become a diehard fan when you have:

Made everyone including your grandma listen to TRC and explained what Prince is trying to say.

When you are at a show and you acidentally wet your pants a little because you don't want to go to the bathroom and miss anything.

When you run into someone who says" I'm a BIG Prince fan" and your thinking to yourself, "ummm...sure...whatever!"

When you come close to hitting someone upside the head with your handmade NPG backpack full of Prince cd's because they said, "you like Prince, the gay singer Prince?"

When your lover says, "what the hell do you mean you sincerley want to fuck the taste out of my mouth???"

Saw the "1999" video and was amazed. Been a diehard fan and "converter" ever since.

All in one short year I went from admirer to a fam.The
Rainbow Children started it off for me then when I got
The Hits/B-Sides that's when I started to feel myself
getting more involved in his music.

Especially when I found the Org.I found myself on a quest
to get everything of Prince.Even now I can't wait to buy
my copy of One Nite Alone...Live and to watch the Jay Leno
performance.

I think next week should be dubbed Prince week!
dancing jig My name is BISCUIT...and I am funky! nod
