I have a dilemma...

MPLS is a 4-hour drive from where I live in South Dakota, and it's not often that I have the time and/or energy to make the trip (I never fly...hate it!). I have been waiting patiently for Prince to announce a summer tour, but so far, all's been quiet on that front.

The trouble is that the American Idol Top Ten are for sure going on tour this summer (they are playing the Target Center on September 1st), and I would love to see my girl Allison Iraheta live, provided Prince doesn't come to MPLS in the forseeable future.

So my question for y'all is: What is the likelihood of a summer Prince tour? If it's not gonna happen, then I would love to buy early tix for the Idol show to ensure I get good seats. But if P. does come home, then of course I will skip the Idol show and go see him instead. I can't really do both (time and energy, etc.)...so what should I do?

I think he wants the album to sell more. Setting up a tour with no record company is not easy.

no. Prince made it clear on the tavis show that he is in a "celebration mode" and that he looked forward 2 this time in his life...playing when he feels like it...writing and recording the music that he likes. I think we will c Prince do more jazzlike music with a few band members and a singer (Bria?) sort of like his father and mother...just my 2cents.

I hope so. One thing is almost certain, if/when any dates are announced, the Lotus web site is gonna see lots of traffic and stacks of cash. Don't front.

He seems pretty hyped about this Lotusflow3r project, usually when he's this much into a project he does more concerts, but I don't know about a full tour. Those days mght be behind him.

I think he will tour. I think he's been rehearsing for something big and if he does tour I think he'll hit Minni. He's toured for almost every single album he's made why wouldn't he for this major project. This all of course is just my guess but I don't think he'll hold back on this one.
