Well, I've been playing with this song and I was like "how does it sounds in normal, non-camille voice"..so, I edited it in Goldwave, after few attemps I have found I need to set the pitch 3 semitones down to hear normal Prince voice and it sounds...interesting! (Sorry for my english, I'm not native speaker)

I'm a dj I've done this on my technics with scarlet pussy shockaedlica and many other camille inspired songs. it does make it sound interesting

I would love to own all the camille tracks in their "normal" speeds

Susan Rogers, his engineer at the time, told her account of hearing this song being recorded. Prince all by himself in the studio, at the switchboard with the microphone in front of him, nobody else behind the glass, the people just waiting outside the door for him to finish.

She said that there was such screams and beautiful vocals going through the door that everyone could hear. And supposedly, the distorted sound you hear in the back-up vocals was her fault, so she was feeling guilty when she heard what happened. Luckily, Prince ok'd it

I'd LOVE to hear some of those beautiful vocals at normal speed. Distorted or not they're all Prince at perhaps his best vocal peformance

It would be interesting to hear what those songs sound like with a "normal" voice. I wonder, in messing with the voice, doesn't that mess with the notes on the songs so that it sounds like a whole new song or does technology make it to where the song stays the same even while playing with the voices?

I noticed that his background vocals are slowed down so I wonder what this would sound like with his voice at normal speed, would it make the background vocals slower?

I'd say, no sane mind would go and play with the recording speeds to alter the listening experience from what the artist intended.

Hearing the Camille tracks at normal pitch is an interesting curiosity, but nothing more.

The thing that really puts the cherry on top of IIWYGF especially is the sped-up vocal.

Any live performance of this song would be in Prince's "normal" voice.

I really like hearing this song live. The last time (at Nokia Theater), Prince asked everyone in the audience to dance side-to-side, and of, course, we all did.

I would love to hear "love or $", "strange relationship" and so on with his normal voice.. Come 2 think of it.. years ago i played"love or $" @ a slower sppeed.. he sounded like sly stone on acid.

Did this with my ptich control level on my Technics cd player.
