I finally get to own a Live album of Prince's music.

Wow. this topic has only been open 4 ten minutes and already we have 17 views and one reply. On the other side of the street in the "What do U hate most about ONA Live?" NAYbourhood, we have 40 views and already 4 replies.


That says a hel of a lot 2 me. Why are we so negative in the Prince community?? Surely the reason that most of us are here is cuz we love Prince and his music right?

Just my observation

The energy that the set is infused with...it comes thru loud and clear when I listen to it...one of the things I've missed dearly from Prince's late 90's output was that energy you'd find on simple songs like "Private Joy"...The Rainbow Children recaptured quite a bit of that classic Prince energy (Spin called it the "Prince Prance"), and ONA Live recaptures it even more intensly...it's a helluva lot of fun listening to this CD set...

Well besides the fact that Joy In Repetition is from the N.Y. show and it was Breathtaking Live is the fact that the songs make you feel like you are right at the Concert again and having fun so you can relive your Joy many times over.

I love the way the set seems to be dedicated to the fans that have supported him throughtout the year with all the quotes that were used. I also love that it's live.

I absolutely LOVE, how the NPGMC is who this is for!! It almost makes me cry when the very fist note of a song is played and you here the Music club start screaming! You know that is "us" who screams first! I love how when everyone is singing, you can hear the Music Club first and formost and the loudest. From time to time you hear someone yell something out to Prince..and I know that it's "us". I don't know...but I think that is really really cool!! It puts the biggest smile on my face!! And I wasn't even privy to the ONA tour...but I still feel a part of this experience. The fan quotes in the book...the pics of the fans...this set to me...is/was made for us, and I am truely greatful and thankful and PROUD to be a Prince FAN!

Being a member of the club sure made the concert experience much more incredible. Just knowing that the best seats in the house were reserved for US made me so happy to be there. For once the front rows weren't primarily taken by the press, corporate big wigs and their families or industries who buy up all the best seats and then make mad profits off the fans. Nope those seats were for all of us that work damn hard for our money and those of us who have been with Prince from the beginning.

just getting into the piano medley my first time here...so far, i LOVE LOVE LOVE the version of xenophobia on this joint...from portland? (although for sure at some point it becomes the indianapolis track from the ep) - it is SO much more slammin'... i dunno, i FEEL this song all of a sudden. and i like all the talking he does beforehand...dead blood kills interferons...crazy ol' prince, i LOVE it.

i love that the fans are incorporated into the entire project. it's interactive

i love that the NPGMC came through for us on time.

i love that prince had a really hard year and still managed to do this for us.

I love the rythm, Prince's Guitar solos, his voice. I love to hear him happy. I haven't stopped listening to it since I received it last week, ONA Live is definitly a must for music lovers.

What I love the most is that "I GOT MINE!!!"

the fact that we finally have an officially released prince live cd and it's not bogged down with overdubs... after hearing the live "Days o wild" that he released earlier this year (the one that's supposedly live, although you can hear 18 princes trying to harmonize with each other ), i was afraid of what the ona might sound like... but the cds sound every bit as good as the concert...

and george clinton ain't too shabby on "we do this"... after all, it would be ludicrous to think that we are new to this... we do this... this is what we do...

I know that prince love to have the npgmc in the front rows. I know the energy that he gets from us must be incredible.
