What are Prince's best songs lyrically?

I'm trying to convert someone, so I made them a collection of songs that they would like, but they complained about Darling Nikki's lyrics where "basically just that there was this chick who was, like, totally gagging for it."

Lyrics are not something I'm used to paying attention to (I'm much more about the music), so I would like to see what you guys' favorite Prince songs are lyrically.

Raspberry Beret although *not* a good song it READS beautifully - its a great 'story' the way he wrote it....

best lines he has written are hard to show newbies because he has a lot of cryptic messages in his songs that only fans would understand what he's talking about...

but having said that, try:

Adore
Little Red Corvette (written/lyrically great story)
Insatiable
Shhh (written/lyrically great story)
Gotta Broken Heart Again (written/lyrically great story)
One of ur tears
On The Couch (written/lyrically great story)
Kiss
Erotic City
Reflection (written/lyrically great story)
Eye hate U(written/lyrically great story)
When 2 R in Love
Sometimes it snows in April (written/lyrically great story)
Eye love u but eye dont trust u anymore
Scandalous
When eye lay my hands on u
Another Lonely Christmas (written/lyrically great story)
Pretty Man (written/lyrically great story)
Musicology(written/lyrically great story)

PS I do agree with the poster also who added "Last December", and I NEVER EVER understood what was so great about the Ballad of Dorothy Parker (even though Dorothy PARKER is my fav writer of ALL TIME... I dont think it has nothing to do with her though

Little Red Corvette and The Ballad of Dorothy Parker
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

The first two that come to my mind are Sweet Baby and Adore but if I sat here for five minutes I am sure there I can come up with a few more, In fact, I might just do that.

I would also like to add to this list:
off the top of my head..

Soul Sanctuary

Somewhere here on earth

Where ever U go, Whatever U do
Heal the body
Clear the mind
Open the heart
Free the spirit.
