Besides the org,

Honestly the Prince myspace page was the most effective and easiest to navigate. Sure, there wasn't much to it, but it served it's purpose just fine.

Second place would go to the Crystal Ball CD site. That was/is excellent for what it is meant for, simply a lyric site.

Up until a few years ago I had dial-up, so all that flash bullshit really meant nothing to me.

in some cases the same week as new lifetime registrations.

wink

come on stanley how many people do you think joined towards the end of the npgmc membership stretch. wasn't that site active a few years?

how many of those years were they offering lifetime memberships though.

i think i've just had bad luck with prince's online/telephone deals. charged for 'crystal ball' but never received it. when i joined his first monthly subscription site they kept charging my card (and charging it, and charging it, and charging it) multiple times every month. i let that lapse for a while and then i paid for a lifetime membership like a handful of weeks before the site closed forever.

biggrin

i ain't mad. just saying. biggrin

Well, it seems as if we get the latest Prince info. from the Dr.Funkenberry website or here. I'm not complaining about the lotusflow3r website, but the graphics are amazing and yet colorful. But I wish we would get the same perks as we did with NPG n the extras like the forum. So, I would probably have to go with the NPG website as being my favorite.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Weird that nobody mentions crystalball.com. In 1996 that was a pretty mindblowing site, looked hella good. It should still be up somewhere, I just can't find it...

Cool! Thank you. Now that is a website! It's a shame the songs don't light up anymore when you browse over them, but hey, it's still here after 12 years! That's gotta be a record for Prince!

I think that the designers have left it up as a calling card of sorts. The've done some interesting Flash stuff.
