Supporting an artist is one thing but this isn't a charity. He's selling a product, that's what the club is. We are consumers. No matter how he wants to dress it up he is selling us something to make money. Serive is important Prince clearly is failing to deliver. U just cannot argue that everything is fine because it's fine for u because it's easy to see how many people just on the org have had poor service. It must be way worse than in most industries. People often wouldn't accept it but they love Prince so much that in the end they sigh and accept it. Some of course don't and they write to the BBB. If they want to do that I think it's pretty fucking stupid to sit there all smug with your ONA live and have a go at them. They wouldn't do it if they were happy. There's nothing wrong with complaining because it might just make a difference.

if u got bad service due to technical difficulties, distribution problems or anything why dont u email them, i did when the site went down during the presale and they helped me out!! i got the tickets in the end!!

When we were being recruited to join the club it was advertised that we would get at least 4 new cd's of music, and all the cd's were listed. Prince did not deliver, plain and simple.
If prince had said he would give us an undetermined amount of cd's before the year was up, I could have rolled with that, but he PROMISED the last december, madrid to chicago, the very best of, and one night alone all of wich we got 1.
Don't get me wrong, I love the ona live cd, but what Prince did was false advertisement.

the "advertisements" u saw in a tourbook were NOT the conditions which had 2 b met to fulfill the contract, the contract is 4CDs in 2002 plus other membership priviledges, the tourbook was "an invitation 2 treat" not an "offer"!!

All this arguing - great reading but come on guys...If someone is unhappy with the products or services of a company they have a right to complain.

Yeah I got the box set today - I went to the souncheck - I got the other CD's - overall not bad - but if anyone doesn't like how they've been treated or they have been misled or misunderstood when to expect then they can complain.

This way an impartial 3rd party can review it to see if it is worthy of a complaint.

If it isn't then some will be happy as Prince has come through for us. If not then it deserves to be dealt with.

So all this bickering makes you sound like children - so shut the fuck up!

By the way I heard a rumour that as with our box sets the ONA Piano CD will also be found in all commercial boxsets. If that is the case I WILL be pissed off!

Sue him! Prince won't mind, he's quite litigious himself you know!

I read through the NPGMC membership agreement at the beginning of the year and it was very poorly drafted. It's too bad the site's down or I'd refresh my memory on some of the mistakes. It was not the "air-tight" terms and conditions that you would expect a good lawyer to have crafted. (Does anyone have a copy?)

I actually feel bad for NPGMC. Even if Prince allowed them to treat members well and give us a proper value for our money, Paisley Park's beaurocratic and legal incompetence would still cause them problems.

U are certainly correct regarding finding a resolution instead of staging a hate fight. with regret, I am one who has made negative comments against certain orgers, but at the the time I was so furious that a fan site could be sooo cruel to the artist we are supposed to be supporting. Again, I understand the frustrations, but some just seemed to go overboard.
