Why No Love For Feel Better, Feel Good, Fell Wonderful?

Contrary to rumor I am not new here, I just rather spend my time reading than writing (this is an exception). After I've listened to Lotus Flow3r/MPLSound (Why wasn't it MPLS Sound?.... anyway moving on), read everyone's reaction to it, and made my own CD (the second of my three measely posts), I have to wonder why no love for FB FG FW? I know, I know it's just another Prince James Brown sound alike, the first cousin to "Pretty Man", blah, blah, blah. And clearly the musical portion/bridge has been heavlily edited. But, all that aside, how can you not listen to this jam and just feel good, feel better, feel wonderful? Ever since the CD's became available on the website I've been sick. I work two jobs and go to school, and get absolutely no sleep. This has been the only thing that has put a smile on my face or made me feel better, as I've driven through rush hour traffic while trying to keep my head from exploding from a damn Spring cold that won't go the hell away!

So many people here have discussed/mentioned each and every song but this one, what gives? Again, I'm not saying that it's groundbrreaking, just fun, nothing more, nothing less. Am I the only one who's enjoy this funky piece of fluff? BTW, I am a musician and like all of Prince's music I've ripped apart every chord and lick and put them back together again so I can teach it to my band. So, from the stand point of a musician it's not musically his best, like say "Joy In Repitition" ( the best progression of three chords in all of Prince's music, just my opinion lol ) but, it's just so G'damn fun to listen to and to play!

Anyone else?

i love it! he played this on leno whe i was there and the crowd was definitely loving it. i personally like the more upbeat prince songs than the slow jams. i think overall lotusflow3r is the far superior album to mplsound (although i do love old skool company)

its a totally snoozer...lyrics are pretty bad. At least the other more recent JB type jams (Pretty Man, Get on the Boat, The Works) have a more interesting story to tell.

I love this song. I was praying that it would make it to one of the cd's after I heard the clip.

It's not bad, but it's been done before and it's one of the weaker links on the album. IMO that's why it probably doesn't get much of a look in (although I've seen at least 3 or 4 threads about it, so the appreciation is there).

Totally with you madman and I have quite a few coincidences with you.

First, I've had an inner ear disorder for 6 months with permanent vertigo (very frightening) and this song is about the only thing that puts a smile on my face.

I also rarely post on forums but this song in my opinion is tight, funky and bags of fun.

There's enuff crap going on in the world to bring us down so y not feel better, feel good and feel fucking wonderful. lol

my favorite vocal delivery in this song is "don't mean no disrespect i ain't trying 2 brag .." totally can c him make that funky face when delivering that line falloff
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Yo this song is the shit! It's much better than the bootleg that he dropped on the music club. After rocking out to Colonized Mind, this keeps it going. I gotta listen to it now.....

I really love this song; it's one of my favorite tracks off the 3 CD set, and I'd put in my top 15 Prince songs of all time. I especially like the lyrics because I can't quite figure out what they mean; I definite think there's some subtext to them. I totally enjoy the tune because I like the music, I like the vocals, I like the overall vibe. One of my favorite parts is when Prince just says Feel better, baby. I like these old school funk jam types of songs. I'd put it in the same category with Sexy M.F.

One thing though, I was blasting this on my Ipod with my headphones on the bus, and then I played it again when I got in my car. It sounds a lot better on the headphones for some reason. I blame the factory installed sound system in my car.

You're absolutely right. I find that I drive extremely fast when I play this song. It's interesting how music effect the way one drives. When I leave work in the afternoon I keep it on repeat and literally drive like a madman because I just want to get home as fast as I can, shower, gets some sleep before heading to job number 2. To be sure though, I am a safe driver and I take driving very seriously. I would never put anyone's life in danger. nod
