I'm starting to think the Lotus project is just as good if not a lil better and believe you me the TRC project was one that I was highly impressed by. To Sir, with Love

Now why would I review something if I haven't given it a proper listen? I am totally being fair! And no, I didn't pay a cent for it. A very wonderful friend who knows I'm a completist gave it to me as a gift! If someone else wants to spend money giving me Prince music or take me to Prince's concerts, I cannot stop them. I won't do it myself though 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Instead of obsessing on a good band and practicing the music til it's schorching the eardrums out of people's heads he's turning his attention where it shouldn't be. The same genius that created whole amazing albums by himself and led band efforts down places like Lovesexy and Gold Experience has the time and wherewithal to harrass some poor lady who posted a video of her baby dancing to his music? Prince needs to be bitchslapped back into reality. Unfortunately until he faces some kind of legal trouble for doing things the wrong way, it won't happen. There has been alot of discussion here recently about the 80s versus now Prince, but fact is, that raw energy that he displayed, particularly on the Lovesexy tour, has rarely ever shown up again apart from the Gold tour. Odd thing about the Lovesexy tour was, it was not well recieved in America because of its preachy nature. The ONA tour followed the release of the TRC album, and from what I saw on the Aladdin DVD, it certainly didnt set my world on fire, same can be said of ONA live, apart from the aftershow. So he must somehow restrain himself, why he does it I will never know, but I know from what i experienced in London in 2007, that the side he tries to contain, pops up now and again and wreaks havoc, like the good ol days. the alladddin show is NOT a good xample of the fire the ONA show had ..and not even the live album can do it justice cause it jumps all over locations..find one from ONE city and listen 2 it in it's entirity and i'm sure u'll come away with a feeling of DAMMIT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE ... man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

sassybritches said: this new mixed bag of hit or miss mess pales in comparison to the rainbow children. religious blasts to the head or not, trc is prince at his most inspired and creative in years. the energy was there and the emotion as was the obvious lack of desire to be "cool" or "hip". the best songs on lotusflower make me think the same thing...too bad there's just so few of those songs.

I have a few here that I must give a good listen to, amd I know I will be pissed I wasnt there. He played a few dates in Germany, when I lived in Austria, but I found out about them to late and couldn't organise to go If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.
