One Nite Alone Live Backlash begins! I haven't even got my little mitts on the new ablbum yet (looks like i'm gonna have to wait till the 17th! ) and already the backlash has begun!

OK, so I haven't really spoken out until now, but it's the 9th, and fuck it...
It's not backlash against the product -- it's against the buisness practices of a company (Gage) which has not delivered and has not been openly communitcating with it's clients. I wrote two letters to Gage, finally recieved a reply today -- my box was shippped on the 4th and have not recieved it in LA today(the 9th). Other concerns are about people getting damaged products, it is not UPS' fault if the boxes are not properly protected, it's Gages. They charged me for two day mail on Days of Wild, it took two months of screaming before I got it. Rave, almost a year! Saying, "well just don't join next year" doesn't help, becuase obviously I want the product that they're selling -- I would just like to RECIEVE THE PRODUCT that I payed for in a timely fassion. If they ran late, and communicated better to their clients, a lot of these concerns would not be being posted and emailed to them. I have not filed a BBB complaint, but only out of fear of being blacklisted from the club (don't put it beyond Prince to do this) -- I would feel the same way if I'd ordered a TV or Radio through the internet, I would want to know when and how it was being delivered, and I would hold the distribution company liable for they're end of the arrangment. I'm sure the album and packaging are great, and while I'm dissapointed at the fact that we're not getting anything exclusive, frankly it's not the end of the world. My problem is with Gage, because time and time and time and time again they continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over again. Prince needs a new distribution company. Ok, I've said my peace -- not that it means anything to anyone but me, but thats how I feel. I and many others would just like to see the NPG deliver what they promised and communicate better with their members, I don't think I'm asking for a lot here...but I'm sure someone will say that I'm complaining just to complain; I'm not. I've got a huge prince collection, and I love the music...but personally I think I'm starting to miss Warner Bros... | |

I was, however, referring to the backlash against the musical content of the album made in some previous post. Not, as you suggest, the backlash aginst distribution which i too find highly frustrating. The thing that mostly pisses me off is the fact that nobody seems to know what the fuck is going on! but i suppose we've come to expect that of Prince!
