Every time I go & start looking @ an interesting thread there's always someone comparing songs & albums from other albums & what not, quite normal & generally what makes a discussion. Then there are these folks that are like, Well Prince hasn't made anything good since Lovesexy or TGE or SOTT or whatever... so my question is what's the point of your post or for that matter what's the point of visiting the site while you just hate & dislike everything & everyone else's opinions of his current work or the current discussion. People are just trying to have regular discussions & all these nay-sayers are basically telling us that if we like this song or that album then we aren't true music or Prince fans. WTF ever mf's. Get off ur bs musical high-horse & let us enjoy the tunes. Quit hating, b/c u ain't got nobody following u, u're just the blind leading the blind. Sorry, but it's been bothering me.

I couldn't agree more. It bothers me when people say "this song sucks" or "that song is terrible" or "Prince has lost it and itn't making good music anymore". Ok, that maybe your opinion, but don't make the mistake that you can speak for everyone. Some songs that I don't care for, others absolutely love, and vice versa. Don't make generalized statements for everyone when everyone's taste in music is different. Discussion is fine, but bashing someones work is disrespectful.

I agree as well. I'm new here, but have been "lurking" about for the past several months. I was reluctant to sign up here for so long b/c of the excessive bile that is spewed @ times-- this is supposed to be a fan site, and while I wholeheartedly believe that everyone is entitled to like/dislike whatever they please AND to speak their minds about it, I would think that when visiting a FANsite people would show some level of respect for the artist and their work. Geez, I am no fan Of Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers--but you won't find me going to their fansites so I can thread-crash and be just plain nasty. There are those of us who really don't have anyone in our immediate circles who appreciate Prince the way we do and therefore have no one to "share" with, so we come here to (hopefully) find others who do have a passion for his music. Don't get me wrong-there are some great people here @ the org who have very thoughtful, constructive criticism to offer--which is enlightening and enjoyable, but others really should not drink so much hater-ade b4 coming here, to a FANsite. There's no telling how many others are lurking out there who are reluctant to sign up for the same reason. I finally decided to sign up here b/c I am SO happy about these new releases! I have listened to nothing but Lotus/MPL/Elixer since it came out--LOVE IT!!!

The answer to all the questions is LOVE, Love the haters even tho they hate it

But, that would be so boring, to discuss music is almost as great as the gift of being able to make it, and a bit of humor never killed anyone. Granted some take it all abit too seriously, but look at the world today, we are in a recession, from knobs who thought they were seriuos, but deep down, they only looked for money. just join in, dont insult people, and it will be happy dayz, in about two weeks you will be bored out of you mind and go to GD forum and there you will meet very crazy but nice people
