Ya....the white one was a schecter and they made the headstock shorter....they say, as instructed by Prince.
Dunno why.....it bothers me, but I still love it. Funklov said: LAtimesinc said: My little Angelina Jolie
Beautiful cloud! I usually can tell what is a copy because the headstock is usually not long and pointy enough but this is just about perfect. The black one posted here is also really good especially compared to the white one next to it which has the small headstock like I mentioned. Peace&BeWild

Two stories come to mind about that tip, one was Takumi said he wanted the Schecter Clouds tip to be short so he can tell if he saw one on stage somewhere he would know the difference! story two was that the tips got broken off when they were shipped so Schecter made it so the tip would not break off and could fit in there shipping boxes, don't know if it's true but the stories came from someone closely linked to Paisley Park. I may come off with my head up Prince's ass...so be it! Just stop mistakin' my love for him as ass kissin, I just Love him.

Interesting. If story two was true, there would be some longer headstock Schecters floating around. Haven't seen those. I wish mine had the "correct" Prince-spec headstock. Though, it looks much better than those late ESP "Cloud" headstocks. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Anyone have '90s model ESP "Cloud"? This had the stubby Prince headstock versus the out of place traditional headstock. These also had a tremolo and locking nut. They also sell for quite a bit less than Schecters.

Is this U'r guitar? If so, has it been modified? The jack and the pick-up switch R different than mine. I have a broken ESP that I stripped...gonna re-paint and change the electronics. Here it is hanging next 2 my black & white ones: Peace&BeWild
