How to successfully and painlessly open your 3-CD digipak... I've read a few posts on here saying how hard it is to get the CDs out of the packaging without damaging one or the other.
The CDs are in there quite tightly, so here is how I opened the digipak and got the CDs out. 1. Use an Xacto knife or paper clip to gently start a slit in the cellophane in one of the gaps between the layers of cardboard. Be careful not to insert the Xacto too far in, otherwise you'll scratch the cardboard. 2. Slowly pull the cellophane away from the binding and toward the opening side -- this will prevent you from inadvertantly crimping the points on the opening side. 3. GENTLY fold back one flap at a time so that it's flush with the side next to it. Do not crease the cardboard while doing this - you only need to fold it back enough so the CD can slide straight out unobstructed. 4. With clean and dry hands -- with one hand cup the outer edges of the "pocket" so that it opens up a bit, and with the other hand grip the CD and pull it out. Avoid connecting fingernails with the play side of the CD. 5. Do not attempt to reinsert the CD into the case -- instead, find an empty jewel case to store them in. Removing/inserting the disc repeatedly will probably cause damage to both CDs and case. 6. Rip the CDs immediately and put in storage for safe keeping. 7. Put the cardboard case into a box with other digipaks so that interaction with jewel cases doesn't scuff them. Hope this helps. I've read how cheap the packaging is, but it's on par with a lot of recent releases from other artists.

I didn't have a problem at all; it was quite easy 2 tear the plastic off 2 begin with and the cardboard box flimsy enough 2 bend it a bit 2 access the CDs "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

This reminds me of a how-to I just read on taking apart and hacking my Mac Mini. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Dont forget The Morning After pill, to execute successful and painless deflowering If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I liked the CD packaging.
Because I general just rip CDs to MP3 and shelve them away, I appreciate very minimalist packaging. The packaging reminds me of an old Journey album when it comes to artwork, but I kind of like it. I found opening it easy enough.

*sigh* Why no plastic insert to hold the cd's? It's just gonna collect lint, and dust leaving it in the sleeve! I swear, he's gonna get more cheaper the next time around. Placing the album in ziplock bags with no name written on it!

He did that already! The Glam Slam and Alphabet St. singles were in clear plastic with just a sticker slapped on.
