yeah, i don't really enjoy rapping or rap music,
so i can usually do without it in Prince's music.
The Q-Tip part doesn't do anything for me, so I
just clipped it out of my listening copy of
Chocolate Box and now the song sounds like it
never needed the rap part in the first place,
which is usually the case.
music I'll share my Q-Tip-less edit of Chocolate
Box if anyone wants it. send me and orgnote music

Now if you can just do the same to "chaos and disorder" you'll massively improve the album to the status of merely slightly poor.

I edit the rap out of almost every Prince song. Even back in
the day using tape decks. It's just like why listen to & enjoy
it less with the stinky rap parts when I like em waaaay better without?
The Emancipation songs are SO much better without the useless rap:
Join 2 Joint, Mr Happy, Da Da Da, etc... nod imo of course.

you're kidding, right? q-tip is the only reason i've listened to
this song repeatedly because beyond his contribution there isn't
a whole lot going on here that is worth going back to imo. worst
song on the album, by far.

I won't say worst song, but it's not a great song.
The chorus is so stupid, and it actually kicks off the song lol

And Prince's vocals are terrible too. I hate that "owwaaaooow" thing he does.

After q-tips rap, the little instrumental part that kicks in is cool, but it doesn't makeup for the rest of the song.

I give it a high rating however falloff cause considering the kind of album MPLSound was , it fits in perfectly.

I know what you mean but Chaos and disorder is the point when the rap becomes more than just useless, it actually jarrs with the songs. It sounds like the prince and the rapper never met and never heard each others styles. I can live with rap that doesn't add anything to a song but I actually LIKE "I Rock, Therefore I Am" apart from the rap ruining it.
