Prince, Miles Davis, SOTT Era

I am just after watching a clip of Miles Davis playing trumpet on stage with Prince and his band. It is obviously the SOTT era, and I imagine it was probably recorded and filmed at Paisley Park during the making of the SOTT movie. Can anyone shed some more light on this, as I have never heard of it before, is it some sort of out-take from the movie?
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

It is more like the Lovesexy era than the SOTT era. It is plain from the hair and clothes and the band lineup from the Lovesexy tour. This concert has been around for a couple of decades now. I got it in the 80s.

I looked it up in Per Nilsens Documentary book, and it was a $200 benefit gig for the homeless on New Years in 1987. I was suprised that there was a video of the entire show. When I saw the first clip with Miles Davis, I was abit confused, as it was clearly SOTT line up, with Cat wearing that peach outfit, but as you say, Prince was wearing one of his Lovesexy outfits, and sporting the hairstyle of the Lovesexy era. Still, it was a pleasent suprise to find that today, over 2 decades later biggrin

This is the show where Miles took over the band.
Everyone started following what Miles did and Prince yelled out to get their attention.
