He did work with KIP BLACKSHIRE... Kip is doing his own thing now in Vegas but I guess Kips term was being featured on cds/tours.

any time taken with others removes time from Prince.... Besides I thought he was working with Shelby next.

I was just listening to "Her Way" on the NPGMC Ahdio show yesterday. He had a great voice, but I don't think it worked well with Prince's material.

I'll be honest....Prince is my guy and I am first in line to buy his stuff but if I had a choice to pick the man be under....Prince will not be my first choice. He might be cool to open a few doors but if your looking to get paid and have a successful career...sorry

Good definition

I think Quincy Jones was Tevins guide and mentor. Remember he thought he could be like Michael, because he had that voice(that did sound like Mike)

I'm not sure Tevin would fit the "male" part of the "Male Protege" equation either.

lol

I say the same

Oh come on... have u seen her lately? I have nothing against him, he's just a bit of a diva, no biggie... I mean, we're regulars on a Prince fan site for gods sake. No offense meant.

SoulAlive

I don't think he needs any more proteges at all.It never really works out for him anyway. The only time he had alot of success with proteges was in the early 80s.These days,a Prince-produced album with someone else's vocals on it isn't gonna go anywhere.
